Angelisa: I used to be heavily influenced by snowboarding and was a semi professional snowboarder for a couple years and during that time, I attended Graphic Design school and started Feelin’ it Decals (formally known as Feelin’ it Graphics) shortly after. Specializing in print, vinyl die cuts and stickers for board shops, snowboard and ski brands and other snow related projects is how I got my business rolling. I must say though, that it wasn’t until I had my daughter that things really started to take off with Feelin’ it Decals. She is the reason why I have made the wall decal career move and have been enjoying it so much. After eight years with Feelin’ it, I truly feel like I have found my passion and desire to create designs for homes and spaces.

It wasn’t until a year ago that I really pushed to get my website launched with new wall decal designs and attended many (thirty two ) markets and events in 2016 to get Feelin’ it Decals out there. There was a lot of blood, sweat and tears that went into the events that I worked at but it was all worth it.

Words to live by?
Angelisa: A quote that I live by; Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. – Emerson. This is something I struggle with on the daily but to be unique and different is to go where no one has before. Getting out of my comfort zone is scary but is the greatest feeling in the end.
What adversity have you faced in business?
Angelisa: The most difficult thing for me with my business is only having two days of day care. It really isn’t enough time to get work done. I work at 5 am before my daughter wakes up and also work during her nap / quiet time. I find it difficult to come up with new designs on time due to this but to spend the other days with her is all worth it to me.
What would you like to say to young women with similar career goals?
Angelisa: Words of wisdom to young women would be, to not give up, stop comparing your self to others or other companies. Focus on you and do not be afraid to think outside of the box and dip out of your comfort zone.
